Using Free Remote

These terms cover Free Remote’s website and app, provided by Keenan Venuti. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using them.

Free Remote is offered without ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Your internet provider, device manufacturer, or streaming services may have separate costs and terms.

Use it responsibly

Only control devices and networks you own or are authorized to access. Do not use the app to interfere with another person’s devices, bypass access restrictions, or violate applicable law.

Compatibility and availability

Free Remote depends on compatible hardware, local network access, and interfaces provided by device manufacturers. Features vary by model and firmware, and manufacturer changes may affect functionality. We may update, change, or discontinue features; uninterrupted operation and support for any particular device are not guaranteed.

Free Remote is an independent project. References to Apple, Google, Chromecast, Roku, Samsung, LG, or other brands identify compatible technologies or devices and do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how the app and website handle information. Keep your devices and network secure, and do not share pairing codes or credentials with people you do not trust.

Software and third-party rights

Software licenses and third-party notices supplied with the app continue to apply. These terms do not limit rights granted under applicable open-source licenses. Names, trademarks, and content belonging to other parties remain theirs.

Warranty and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Free Remote is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. To that same extent, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use.

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The current version and its update date will remain available on this page. Review it periodically; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, subject to applicable law.
